What we believe
An AI that works for you, and only you.
Why I am building nenva, and the few things it is built around. Ram, founder
The best help in life has always come from people who know us well: a friend who remembers what we said last month, a partner who knows how we like things done, someone who notices before we do that we are about to drop something. That kind of help depends on trust. You only let someone that close when you know they are on your side.
AI can now be that kind of help for everyone, not only for people who can afford an assistant. But for it to be really useful, it has to know a lot about you: your mail, your calendar, your family's schedule, your money, the goals you have not told anyone about. That is exactly the information most of the technology we use today is built to collect.
Personal has to mean yours
The business model behind much of consumer tech is to learn as much about people as possible and earn from what it learns. That works against the person. An assistant built that way can never be fully on your side, because someone else is also its customer.
nenva is built the other way round. Your records live on your Mac, not in a database of ours. We earn from the app and the service people choose to use, not from knowing about them. You choose where the AI runs, including entirely on your own Mac, and you can ask nenva at any time what left it.
Help you can hand things to
Life comes with a steady stream of small obligations: the renewal that arrived looking like an ad, the form due back tomorrow, the appointment that moved, the reply you owe. None of them is hard. Together they take up a surprising share of your attention, and the cost of missing one is real.
We want nenva to carry that load, so that what matters reaches you in time and the rest stays out of your way. Not by giving you another system to maintain, but by doing the keeping track itself.
You stay in charge
Help that acts without asking is not help you can trust. nenva prepares, and you decide. Nothing is sent, booked or paid without your yes. What it changes for you can be undone, and when it has not done something, it says so rather than letting you believe it did.
It should learn you
Most software asks you to learn it: its settings, its folders, its way of doing things. We think that is backwards. You should be able to say how you like things in your own words and have it stick, and to change your mind the same way. Everything nenva remembers about you is something you can see, correct or remove.
For everyone
Useful AI should not need a weekend of setup or a vocabulary of acronyms. nenva is for anyone who has more to keep track of than time: parents running a busy house, people with full jobs and no system, and anyone who would rather not hand their life to someone else's servers to get help with it.
Where we are
nenva is early, and it is a Mac app today. We are building it closely with the people who use it, and your feedback shapes what comes next. If any of this matters to you too, I would love to hear from you.
