Privacy Policy for the nenva browser extension

Effective October 7, 2026Anjadhe LLC

This page covers the nenva browser extension for Google Chrome. It is a companion to the nenva app for macOS, and it does nothing on its own. The app's own Privacy Policy covers everything else nenva does, including where the AI runs and what leaves your Mac for the model you chose; this page adds only what the extension itself can see and do.

Short version: the extension connects to the nenva app running on the same Mac and to nothing else. It acts only while nenva has a job for it, in a Chrome window kept for nenva. Nothing it sees is sent to us or to anyone. We collect nothing through it.

1. What the extension is for

nenva is a personal AI that runs on your Mac. When you ask it to do something on a website, or show it how you do a task so it can repeat it later, it works in a separate Chrome window on a profile kept just for it. The extension is how the app reaches that window: it reads the page as a list of named controls and visible text, performs the one step nenva decided on, and, when you are showing nenva a task, notes what you did.

2. What it can access, and why

The extension asks Chrome for these permissions:

  • Native messaging, to connect to the nenva app on the same Mac. This is the extension's only channel. It does not connect to any website, server or service of ours or anyone else's.
  • Debugger, to deliver nenva's clicks and typing as ordinary input the page cannot tell from yours, and to take a picture of the visible part of the page for nenva when its AI model can read images. It is attached only while nenva is working and released the moment you take control.
  • Scripting, to read the page as numbered controls and visible text, and to perform a step on a named control.
  • Tabs, to keep track of the one tab nenva works in, its address and title.
  • Storage, to remember which tab is nenva's and the last address it was on. This is stored in Chrome on your Mac.
  • Alarms, to reconnect to the app when the connection drops.
  • Access to websites, because nenva works wherever you send it. The nenva app asks you before the first step on any website, and asks every time before a step that buys, pays, sends, deletes or signs in.
  • Downloads, optional and not requested today: it would only ever note the name of a file you download while showing nenva a task, never its contents.

A small notice in the window says when nenva is working and lets you take control with one press. A trusted click of yours always wins.

3. Fields only you can fill

Sign-in fields, one-time codes and payment details are yours. The extension never types into them, never reads their values, and masks them out of any picture of the page. When a site asks for one, nenva stops and hands the window to you.

4. When you show nenva a task

If you ask nenva to watch how you do something ("let me show you how I..."), the extension notes what you do in that window, by the name of each control: which pages you visited, what you clicked, what you chose, what you typed into ordinary fields, and the names of files you downloaded. It does not record keystrokes, pointer positions or the contents of pages, and it never records what you type into the fields described in section 3.

That list goes to the nenva app on your Mac once, when you finish, so nenva can write it up as a note in words. You read and confirm the note before it is kept, and you can edit or delete it at any time in the app. The list itself is not kept after that.

5. Where information goes

Everything the extension sees goes to the nenva app on the same Mac, over Chrome's native messaging, and nowhere else. The extension has no server, no analytics, no remote code and no account. We do not receive, log or store anything from it.

What the nenva app then does with a page, for example sending part of it to the AI model you chose, is governed by the app's Privacy Policy, section 5, exactly as for anything else the app works on.

6. What we collect

Nothing. We do not collect personal or sensitive data through the extension, do not sell or share it, and do not use it for advertising, profiling or training any model. Our use of the information the extension can access complies with the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.

7. Removing it

Remove the extension from Chrome at any time, from the extensions page of the window nenva uses. Nothing about it is kept by us. Notes about tasks you showed nenva live in the app, under Settings, Memory, Taught tasks, where you can delete them.

8. Changes to this policy

If this policy changes in a material way we will update the effective date at the top of this page.
